A RESOLUTION TO END PHARMACEUTICAL ADVERTISEMENT

1. WHEREAS, Pharmaceutical drugs are used with the intention of benefiting individual health; and
2. WHEREAS, Corporate distribution of such drugs works towards profit and business expansion; and
3. WHEREAS, To this end, corporate entities utilize advertisement to boost sales; and
4. WHEREAS, Sales of pharmaceuticals should be dependent on need, not profit; now, therefore, be it
5. RESOLVED, By the Congress here assembled, that all advertisements for pharmaceuticals shall
6. be prohibited.



A BILL TO MANDATE ELECTRONIC TEXTBOOKS

1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
2. SECTION 1. The State of California will mandate electronic textbooks instead
3. of printed textbooks be used in all California schools.
4. SECTION 2. The electronic textbook is a paperless, updateable electronic device, capable of
5. storing large amounts of information in a compact and more efficient manner.
6. SECTION 3. The California Department Education will off-set 20% of the purchase price of the electronic textbooks for school districts and establish standards for devices.
7. SECTION 4. This bill will take effect in the 2014-2015 school year.
8. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.



A BILL TO ABOLISH TAX EXEMPT STATUS FOR RELIGIOUS INSTITUTIONS

1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT:
2. SECTION 1. This legislation will end the tax exempt status of religious institutions
3. SECTION 2. The word “religious” shall be stricken from the list of tax-exempt organizations
4. under TITLE 26--INTERNAL REVENUE CODE; Sec. 501 (c) 
5. SECTION 3. Department of the Treasury will be responsible for enforcement.  
6. SECTION 4. This law will take effect beginning in the first tax year after passage.  
7. SECTION 5. All laws in conflict with its legislation are hereby declared null and void.
